Let Music Heal Your Heart

Music plays an important part in healing a broken heart. Not like the person who is feeling in love, that usually sings with music, a person having heartaches usually listens to it. The feeling of being alone dominates more when a person is in pain. And that’s where the power of music will do its wonders in healing a a heart that has been broken.

Songs are poetry written by the heart. The composer of the song usually has experience about losing someone and being left behind. More often than not, a 3-minute song can have all the events of the love story, narrating from the day that two people met until the time they separated.

Many individuals that are hurt think that nobody understands them and what they are going through each day of losing someone they loved most. And so they go to sad songs with lyrics associated to their experiences and befriended them. They would play it over and over again, uttering every line and start asking questions. They would also cry while listening to these songs and occasionally, get answers to their questions which are useful in releasing their feelings of anger and pain. Finally, they will feel comforted.

In addition to the preparation, they also have this “Simbang Gabi” (mass at 4AM) which usually starts on December 16 until December 25 as a preparation for Jesus' birth. They also believed that if someone has completed the 9 morning masses, her/his wish will be granted. That's why many people are attending mass because of their wishes and prayers.
